For educators
Your perspective matters.
Children can show different strengths and needs at home and in early learning. An educator's observations can help families see a fuller picture.
HOW IT WORKS
No new app to install.
A parent can invite an educator through a secure, one-use web link. The educator answers structured questions about everyday behaviour in their setting, and those observations are added as a separate perspective.
The link does not verify the educator's professional identity. Families should confirm that they have invited the right person.
What you do and do not see
- Questions relevant to observed everyday behaviour
- No parent's private support-context answers
- No access to the parent's whole Decision Plan
- No requirement to choose a start year
Differences deserve discussion.
StartYear does not merge your answers with the parent's answers into a readiness score. Meaningful differences are retained so a parent can ask why the child is experiencing settings differently.
Informed by, not replaced by, professional judgement.
The product is a structured conversation aid. It does not certify readiness or determine school placement. Families remain responsible for enrolment decisions with their school.
A clearer beginning
A shared conversation, not a verdict.
Help families work with different observations and decide what is worth discussing next.
